This is Major Xu (aka uudaddy), I have been a professional software developer for 10 years: from CAD (computer-aided design) to business software. In my spare time I am interested in finance (both corporate and personal), business and iPhone/iOS app development. I passed CFA (Charted Financial Analyst) level one exam in Dec 2008. And I started learning iPhone app programming since Jan. 2009.

Currently my wife, our baby girl and myself live in St. Louis, Missouri (midwest USA). I was born and raised in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, southeast China.

Why uudaddy?
Our 1st daughter, Youyang (we call her “you you” sometimes) was born early March 2010. We are happy new parents and I was a bit nervous upon her arrival, to be honest. I was trying to write down my feelings, thoughts, and things on my daughter. Hopefully this will be useful for all the new dads, and if you like, you are welcome to be my guest blogger here.

(August 2010) I decided to host my iPhone app (mostly financial related, e.g., my first product is myNestEgg, a retirement calculator) product URL and support URL at this web site. This should not contradict with my original plan of this blog, as I think financial matter is an important part of our daily lives, and if we can control our financial matter, our future will be more colorful.
